Transformation through small loans

We have an exciting micro-finance project in Oaxaca, Mexico called Fuentes Libres (click here and here to learn more). We just received a testimony about a woman named Ninfa, a FL participant. What better way to learn about the project than through the eyes of someone who has been transformed by it?

“The Hope Community Bank group is made by 16 women/partners, located in Santiago Suchilquitongo, Oaxaca. Ninfa Tobon is one of the partners; she runs her business at her house. She sells sheetrock (drywall).

She has been with Fuentes Libres for three cycles. Since then her business is being expanded, and she is getting enough profit to put her son through college and support her family.

Ninfa stands out among all the others not only for making her payments on time, but more importantly because she is really interested in learning more about the Bible. She is very honest, and she participates by asking questions and by asking for prayer that the Lord will supply for the group so they can make their payments.

She waits for the Bible study to finish before she takes care of her customers. Since her business is at her house customers knock at her door, and she tells them to please come back later.

The weekly meetings take place at her home – she is the community bank treasurer. She also has being learning the good habit of saving every week.”

Please pray for the ongoing work of Fuentes Libres, and consider giving to the project here.

How exciting to read one small testimony, which is really neither ONE nor SMALL! Praise God for his work through Fuentes Libres, through Memo, and through all of you!!!!
Dios les bendiga!!
