Please pray for Oyacachi!
Please pray for our sister church/community in Oyacachi who on Friday experienced an incredible landslide and flooding. Currently, the entire community is evacuating and the surrounding area Covenant churches are providing shelter and food. You may remember that we recently completed a medical caravan in this community.
Visas Approved!
PRAISE THE LORD!!! Our resident visas have been approved! We now have residential status in Ecuador and we will not have to renew our Visas again unless we are out of the country for an extended period of time. And the little girl who looks the happiest in the picture was the key to this happening that since she was born with Ecuadorian citizenship, as she was born here in Ecuador, the rest of us were able to get the Resident Visas because of our family relationship with her. God is good!!!
Esther Turns 1!
Happy Birthday to Esther as she just turned 1 year old! She is growing up so quickly as she is getting her teeth in now, getting close to walking and seems to be doing something new ever day. Happy Birthday Esther!!!
Simeon graduates from preschool!
Yesterday, Simeon graduated from preschool with a big day in the park. It was a fun day in which each child received an “award” for their greatest strength. Joel’s dreams and hopes for the future are coming true with Simeon’s award being the “Soccer Star!” Congratulations Simeon!!!!

Medical Caravan in Oyacachi
Our 2nd Medical Caravan has now officially been completed! 117 children in the community of Oyacachi received their annual medical and dental checkup on Friday.
Volunteers Needed!
The Santiago Partnership has been blessed by numerous volunteers in our already short existence. On Thursday, two more volunteers, Sarah Gosen and David Gutierrez, helped us pour the floor for the entrance to the home for at risk children. Contact us if you are interested!
Medical Caravan with Iglesia Nazareno
Medical Caravan in Cayambe with Iglesia Nazareno completed! We saw 236 children for their annual medical checkup over a three day period. Thank you for all your help from our volunteers.
Wednesday Meetings
Every Wednesday our project leadership team which consists of Rolando Escola, Project Coordinator, Jose Tuqueres, Pastor of Iglesia Emanuel (our partner church), and Kim and I, meet in Cayambe to discuss the project in great detail and make decisions about how to proceed and plan for the future. Rolando is our Project Coordinator so he has the final say but really all decisions are made through consensus of this group. Please pray for these weekly meetings as they are so important for our project going forward.
