thaiThe Bright Future Children’s Project continues to grow! Plans to only start out with 30 children have transformed as there are between 80-100 children that participate in the weekly program that is focused on teaching basic English skills, music, and sports. This program is also an opportunity to teach educate the children and parents about human trafficking and signs to look out for. These children come from 5 different villages around the camp and many villagers want their children to be involved in the project. Local village leaders held a community meeting and the families agreed to pay a small amount per child so they could attend. This has helped alleviate some of the stress of cost from the project leaders. They are now considering adding more days to this project instead of just holding it on Saturday.

thailandIt is amazing to consider the work of God. I remember when I visited this camp last summer as part of a trip through North Park University and played football with the children attending the program. The leaders were incredibly gracious and patient with all of the children and never shied away spreading the love of Christ. That day, there might have been about 60 children, and even that felt like the camp was overflowing. This program is doing more than I think I could ever comprehend or even express in a short update. It is expressing the love and hope of Christ to those who are most vulnerable and it is truly amazing to hear stories.
