TLC multipurpose building foundation

CWR funds support the Tutorial Learning Center (TLC) in Thailand. This project allows at-risk Thai children to receive an education. This education gives them and their families hope for the future.

The TLC has received funds for building a new multipurpose building. Currently, the foundations, posts, and flooring for the building are complete. This new building will house a computer lab for the student’s study, a classroom for English language learning, a workshop for manufacturing technology tools and a communications center for enabling distance learning at the TLC via the internet.

TLC Students studying in meeting building

Recently, eight TLC students participated in a local academic competition in the Baw Klua district, set up by the Thai Department of Education. The focus was on language studies (Thai and English proficiency), math, and science. Five of the TLC students won gold medals and two students took silver.  This is a great indicator of the effectiveness of the TLC learning system- the students are being enabled to excel in their studies and thus earn access to more choices as they move forward in their studies.

We are so grateful for the ways that the TLC is changing the lives of many youth in Thailand! To give to education projects like this one, click here.
