Medical Teams International has been a key Covenant World Relief partner in places like Haiti, Libya, the Horn of Africa, and we are currently pursuing a partnership in South Sudan. MTI has some urgent medical volunteer needs:
- CAMBODIA
A general medical/dental team is needed to serve in rural areas of Cambodia to provide quality healthcare services to those who do not have access to them. Typical ailments expected are malnutrition, diarrhea and waterborne diseases. Dental volunteers will also provide training to local care providers. Team is targeted to travel in October 2012. - CAMEROON
A Pathologist is needed to work alongside residents and other hospital staff at Mbingo Baptist Hospital near Bamenda, Cameroon. Volunteer will provide clinical services, hands-on training and classroom lectures for 2 – 4 weeks. Travel dates are flexible between August and September 2012. - ETHIOPIA
Soddo Hospital in southern Ethiopia requests an Obstetrician/Gynecologist to come serve with them for 3 weeks in July 2012. - GABON
Bangolo Hospital in Lebamba, Gabon needs ophthalmologists to provide coverage for a leave of absence of a missionary physician. Flexible length of service between June 1 through September 30, 2012.
