L’Ecole Methodiste de Furcy is a small Christian school in the mountains of Haiti. It was built in 1984 in partnership with North Park University students and Covenant World Relief. The school has remained strong throughout the turmoil Haiti has faced and educates 150 students each year. During the hurricane, the roof was ripped off leaving the students and teachers no relief from the sun. Tarps and parachutes were used for covering until resources could be mobilized to build a new roof.
Mountains of Hope for Haiti, a small nonprofit supporting ministries in Furcy, reached out and began to pray for the hope of a new roof. In March of this year that prayer was answered. With the help of your donations to Covenant World Relief, a roof was rebuilt. We are grateful for the opportunity to continue to be a part of the Furcy school story and to see how God brings together old friends and partners around the world.
