Throughout the year, youth at The Journey (Evangelical Covenant) Church typically have fundraisers to help raise support for upcoming events such as CHIC or group retreats. When the youth group (called SWAG, “Saved With Amazing Grace”), learned about the devastation caused by recent tornadoes in Oklahoma, the teenagers decided to give half the proceeds from their local garage sale to Covenant World Relief in order to help Oklahoma disaster relief efforts. “We knew we weren’t able to travel down there to help sort through the aftermath,” says youth pastor, Keith McEntire, “but we thought sending funds could help people out in a different way through the work of Covenant World Relief.”

Many thanks to these youth for their compassion and support!
