And now another story on what keeps Ron busily happy in his ministry at Rain  Forest International School (RFIS) as Director of Technical Services (DTS).  Seventh story: Duplex Construction… which is not really part of his job at RFIS, but with the Covenant mission.  Its location just over the wall from RFIS makes it possible for him to do this.

Now that the UBAC Hostel is built and occupied, the next part of the project is to build housing for Covenant or Free Church missionaries serving at RFIS.   While preparing the foundation of UBAC, Ron also had the guys prepare the ground for the duplex a year ago.

Throughout construction of the hostel, he was also arranging for empty shipping containers to be delivered.  These containers serve as the bottom level of the duplex.  They will be used for storage.  So far only3 of the 4 have been delivered and set in place.  We still need the 4th one in order for construction to continue.

In March of this year Ron put the first shipping container in its place. 

By August of this year 3 of the 4 shipping containers were in place.

In recent weeks the construction workers have been preparing the “ground floor” of the duplex which is situated on top of the storage containers.   For more pictures and details as the work progresses, visit ubachostelconstruction.blogspot.com.
