What would you do 2 weeks before leaving for 4 years overseas? Of course! You would fix up the bathroom quick before you go!

When the house was built in the late 70s, this is the way the bathroom was made … except for the wallpaper that’s only about 10 years old 🙂 It was peeling badly inside the shower, so Ben pulled that off a couple months ago.

And then Ben got a lesson in toilet removal.

Next, Ben and Michelle ripped out the linoleum flooring.

So we were down to a bare plywood floor. So 2 weeks before departure, without fear of drips messing up the floor, Michelle and I painted the ceiling and the shower wall (above the tile) white! Sorry but too busy painting to take a pic. Anyhow, it looks just white, like the parts of this page that … are… white. So, picture that 🙂

Finally the tile guys came and put in the tile!
Last but maybe most important, Ron installed a new toilet!
So we put back the shower curtain, window curtains, and throw rugs and voila! A nearly new bathroom!
