4th of July!

What did you do for the 4th of July?  We mostly worked sorting, packing and cleaning the house.  But in the evening we joined missionary friends from Cameroon for yard games, chats, burgers on the grill, s’mores and fireworks of course!

Also present were newlyweds Alyssa and Austin.  Alyssa and Monica are both RFIS grads.  It’s fun to see them on this side of the ocean.

Fireworks are now legal in Michigan, so we were treated to some fireworks in the yard before heading to the big ones in town.

Allen even lit a couple of lanterns.  We wondered how soon it will be before these are banned — not sure I’d like a fire floating over my house!

There were a couple others there too, but they left before I got the camera out.  This was a fun way to say good-bye to friends and celebrate American Independence Day while in the USA.
