The Quilt Ladies of Fellowship Covenant Church

Today I had the pleasure of having lunch with some of the ladies from Fellowship Covenant Church in Hudsonville, MI.  They meet weekly to work on quilts – and affectionately call themselves “The Quilt Ladies”.  They definitely have a good time together, and they do good works together too.

The women sew donated cloth pieces together at home.  Then when they meet together, they pin sewn pieces to backing with donated apolstry material for batting.  Again, they take the pinned quilt home to sew the edges.

When the edges are finished, the quilts are brought back to the group to tie.

The quilts are donated to various organizations locally and internationally.  These quilts, lovingly hand made, will comfort orphans, developmentally disabled adults, or someone who just needs an extra dose of T.L.C.

Meanwhile, a couple of other women were busy organizing loads of donated items for the annual mission sale.
