Ron wanted to take all 3 kids out just one more time in the canoes before Nate leaves this Friday for Cameroon.  He’s going back earlier to attend RFIS graduation.  So we drove out to a spot on the Rogue River where I dropped them off.

Then I took the van and trailer to the town of their destination and waited at McDonald’s with a cup of coffee and free wifi.   When they reached the Rockford landing I drove over to pick them up.

With the trailer loaded again, it was off to Rocky’s for ice cream… then out for supper at the restaurant of Nate’s choosing.  We’re down to those “lasts” — for Nate anyhow.   The last Monday of school at Northview, the last canoe trip in MI, the last treat at Rocky’s, the last meal at Steak n Shake!
