Praises for January

Praise God for progress on the duplex construction. This month the 2^nd story floor was poured and walls starting to go up on the top floor. Thankfully God has protected the workers – no injuries yet.
Praise God for healing Ben from whatever had him sick for about a week. Not sure if it was a virus, malaria or both, but it took him a full week to regain strength.
Praise God for safe travel to Yaoundé of 5 Congo Covenant Church leaders. They are attended the Leadership Matters Course, led by Wycliffe’s training department Jan. 28-Feb. 9 here in Yaounde.

Prayer Requests for February

Pray for Michelle, the other Rain Forest students and 4 adults who are climbing Mt. Cameroon Jan. 29-Feb. 3. For safety, good health, good weather, and a unique experience with God in his creation.
Pray for the spiritual retreats (Feb. 5-8) for all students at Rain Forest; for God’s Spirit to move in the lives of our students (especially those who have not yet received him as Savior), for the speakers (one is coming from Grand Rapids, MI), for good health, safety, and fun.
Pray for continued good progress on the duplex construction. The 2^nd side of the duplex is about to have the 2^nd story floor poured.
Pray for peace in Central African Republic. Rebels stopped their advance toward Bangui, waiting for peace talks scheduled for next week. (a peace agreement was signed, now we wait to see if all parties honor that agreement).
Pray for the Parks, a Korean family who have just come to Cameroon for ministry to university students. One of their 2 children will be working on English and attending 7^th grade classes this semester.
