29 Leap Year Blessings

Since we don’t usually get a 29th day in February, I decided to take this opportunity to count my blessings.  So here are 29 things I’m thankful for in no particulary order:

1.  My wonderful husband

2. My 3 healthy, fun, smart, good-looking, children

3. My relationship with Jesus

4. Living in Africa for the better part of 25 years

5. Having been raised in a Christian home

6. My health

7. I’ve never been in a car accident

8. No broken bones (mine or my kids)… yet =)

9. A home with running water (today)

10. A home with electricity (most of the time)

11. Internet in my home (most of the time)

12. Good friends in several countries

13. God’s Word in my mother tongue language (several versions even)

14. Many people who are praying for us and our ministry

15. Opportunities I’ve had to travel

16. Music

17. Good memories of a pretty happy childhood, youth, young adulthood, … etc.

18. That I got to go to a Jackson 5 concert (a long time ago)

19. The priviledge of prayer

20. hot dogs, pizza, ice cream, and other fun foods

21. The ability to see, smell, taste, hear and feel

22. Forgiveness

23. Ministry partners who donated a total of 78% of our needed support in 2011 fiscal year!

24. Laughter

25. Sun, rain, snow (and that I don’t currently live in a place where I have to shovel a lot of the latter)

26. Our housekeeper and guards who minister to us in order to enable us to do the ministry we are here to do.

27. Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self control – well ok, I’m thankful for those fruits of the Spirit of God as well as gifts of the spirit and … ok, let’s just say, the gift of the Holy Spirit for believers.

28. That all the appliances in my house work – actually, that I have labor saving appliances like washer, dryer,  fridge, stove, coffee maker, hot water pot, blender, mixer.

29. And last but certainly not least, YOU!  Thank you for reading our blog!
