UBAC Hostel Construction

For several months we’ve asked prayer for the construction of a new UBAC Hostel on property adjacent to Rain Forest International School (RFIS).  It suddenly occured to me that we have not posted about that construction on this blog.  For detailed photo journaling of the construction we created a new blog – click here to view UBAC Hostel Construction blog.

The building seems to be going up quite quickly.  Many big changes in a relatively short time.  The hostel is a 2 story split level building with an separate apartment in 1/2 of the lower level downstairs.   Last week the upstairs floor of the lower level was poured.  And already, there are walls up on that floor!  Below is that apartment, which Jeff and Carolyn Stoker plan to move into.

There are several screen porches planned.  Here, Ron brought a lawn chair to try out the upstairs porch, and find out whether to make the solid partial wall 3 or 4 blocks high… he decided on 3.

The plan is, Lord willing, to move in to the new hostel at the end of June so there will be plenty of time to get it ready for students to move into their rooms in August.  Pray for continued blessing on this construction project.
