What a joy and blessing to see Sophia growing every day…
Her smile is contagious.
Her face is an invitation to stop everything and see life from a different perspective.
Her sleep is sweet and makes us think how life is an exercise of constant surrender with trust and confidence.
Our love and care for Sophia inspires and reminds me of God’s love for me!
At a certain occasion Jesus told his disciples “If you, then, though you are evil, know how 
to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him”.
This is a great analogy!
Religion does not show the real and true Fatherly side of God.
Religion shows us a very strict “God” – an angry “God” full of moralism and rules.
Religion presents us with a mechanism where we have obligations in order to either receive God’s benefits or not. God’s blessings or not. God’s favor or not. If I follow this pile of rules and behavior, God will bless me. If not, God will not bless me.
On the other hand, Jesus introduces us to a God who is full of grace and favor. Jesus calls God His “Abba”. The word Abba is an Aramaic word that would most closely be translated as “daddy.” It was a common term that young children would use to address their fathers. It means the close, intimate relationship of a father to his child, as well as the childlike trust that a young child puts in his or her “daddy.
When I think about Sophia, I know if she were ever in danger, I would put myself in front 
of her and receive a bullet in order to save her life.
“If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children…”
If my love toward her which is so imperfect, selfish and ambiguous is able to make a decision to save her life…
How much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him?”.
Today more than ever I understand the deep significance of God’s unconditional love…
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life – John 3:16
