We may be far from our own families at Christmas, but we’re not without family. This year we and our duplex neighbors celebrated Christmas dinner with missionary colleagues, brothers and sisters in Christ, who are also far from their families this holiday season.
The main course was chicken — 3 nice big chickens raised by a Cameroonian friend. Chicken is the meat of choice at Chirstmas for most Cameroonians it seems.
Even our “pet” sitatunga who lives in our back yard was treated to a bit of Christmas dinner (probably carrots, he’s not a meat eater).
Whether your Christmas featured snow or tropical heat, chicken or ham, sitatungas or reindeer, we hope you had a wonderful celebration of the birth of our Savior Jesus who came into the world to save people of every tribe and tongue and nation. May we be used by Him in the new year to bring more people into His Kingdom.
