Middle School Practical Arts class got a treat the other day. Uncle Roy Danforth was in town, so he gave them a lesson in agriculture; particularly the plants and fruit trees at RFIS.

After explaining how he got interested in agriculture and in serving as a missionary in Africa, he introduced them to many fruits available locally and growing on the school campus.

Then he took them on a tour of the campus, naming lots of flowering plants and fruit trees, and examining them for fruit.

By the end of the tour a few adults had joined in to learn from the ag master.. and to pick up some plants or cuttings to take home and grow.

Maybe one of these kids will remember this lesson and grow up to be an agricultural missionary.
