Over the past several months Ron has been travelling to supporting churches around the country, sharing how God is calling us back to Africa to serve at Rain Forest International School in Cameroon.  Besides getting acquainted with the congregation at special events hosted by the church and on Sunday mornings, it’s always fun to experience the local culture. 

Have you seen the TV show “Man vs Food”?  Ron and the kids were watching an episode last week in which the show’s host was experiencing a culinary specialty of Minneapolis: The Jucy Lucy (or Juicy Lucy, depending on the restaurant).  So when Ron was went to the Twin Cities to speak at First Covenant in St. Paul, he was hoping to make a stop at one of the 2 restaurants claiming to have invented the inside-out burger, in which the cheese is inside the meat patty.  Though Ron is from St. Paul, he’d not heard of the Jucy Lucy before seeing it on Man vs Food.  Thankfully, his sister and her family had been wanting to try it — so Ron’s visit with them was just the excuse they needed!
