We were invited by friends to a “Harvest HooRah” Party on October 31.
Parade of participants dressed up in costume, potluck soup supper, and writing each other “Hoo Grams” or notes of encouragement. It was a great time, and about the only time I’ve celebrated Halloween in Africa! It’s NOT a “thing” here. 🙂
Some costumes were very clever — it was just fun seeing each other dress up creatively.

After all that, the kids went on a treat trek to a few of our houses. And then we all went home to eat candy and read our “Hoo-grams” and be encouraged by the fun notes from friends.
