Field Trip with an Eternal Purpose

Students in Mr. ter Maat’s “Agriculture and Society” class clean up a village fish pond on a recent field trip.

Mr. ter Maat’s class had a field trip recently – combined with a sports tournament and evangelism outreach trip.  It was a full weekend of community development, learning, service, soccer, and evangelism.  Students returned tired but blessed.

The soccer team also went on the trip, to play against teams in and near the village they visited.  Our team demonstrated humility and good sportsmanship, losing every game they played 🙂 .  Still they had a good time.

The real purpose of the field trip was evangelism.  The Drama Evangelism Team went and performed before the tournament finals.  The Spirit of God moved greatly among them and many people chose to follow Christ.  Others showed interest in knowing more.  Pray for this village as there is not a strong church there for follow up.  Through Scripture left in their hands, the Holy Spirit can teach them.
