Bible stories

We continue to delight in telling bible stories, helping our friends across the river understand about the Lord’s faithfulness and grace.  We had a woman with a deep desire to learn more about God, join us last Thursday, from a different part of town.  It is great to have others, outside the clan we usually work with, join in.  The interactions and the repetition of the gist of the story, each to the other of the listeners, is fun to hear, and usually a bit challenging to track as they talk SO fast and use verb tenses and vocab a bit beyond us. We won’t be having our lesson this week as our hostess H’s sister just passed away, though not too old, having struggled with heart failure for some time.  Please pray for H and her family as they grieve, and please pray for this group of women who want to learn more about the Lord.

About danforth

As Covenant missionaries, we are working with all the tribal groups of the Central African Republic (CAR) but are trying to give special attention to the Fulani, a Musxlim, cattle herding, and semi-nomadic people group. We live on an experimental/training farm, near a mission station which has a hospital plus bible and nursing schools. We are establishing relationships with the local people groups through compassion ministries; Roy through agriculture and Aleta through public health and visitation, in order, ultimately, to share the good news of Jesus the Messiah with them. CAR is one of the least developed countries in the world and is currently in continual crisis (since the coup in March 2013), so reaching out in compassion is key to reaching their hearts. Due to the ongoing conflict and resultant ethnic cleansing in CAR, we are crossing the border to interact with our Fulani contacts.
