Photos from June
Here’s a bit of June for you. I pray that you will come and experience the people, the culture, the food, the worship, everything. As I enter my second year of serving our Lord, here in Argentina, it already looks to be a busier year. Full of biblical studies as I embark on my Consecrated Missionary Credentialing and the certificate in Intercultural Ministry, travel all over Argentina as I serve many of the churches here and become even more involved and travel around South America for CIPE Asemblea, courses, Latin America Missionary Retreat, supporting and encouraging other churches and Pastors in Uraquay and Chile, and hopefully some times of rest and relaxing. I pray for continued friendships and relationships here, always more Spanish, to grow deeper in knowledge and wisdom in Christ, to be a blessing to others. I also pray for strength, peace and hope as I accept this next stage of the race. A race that I now run alone, without Max, but with Christ and all of you. Solar Panel and System in Rio Chico Abajo Monday’s study group. After every meeting, every study, every prayer time, we break bread together. We are not just brothers and sisters in Christ, we are family. And I am so thankful to be included in this family. Mountains covered […]

I Married My Best Friend
*I know this is a couple of days early, but I feel the need to share this sooner. We all have a race to run in this life. In October 1990, my race changed – “Please can I invite my Uncle Max? He’s really, really cool. You’ll like him. Please? (and he’ll like you too)”. I’ll never forget Brandi pleading to invite her Uncle Max to my party. Little did I know that a 19 year old, long haired, Uncle would change my life forever. After seven years of dating, living life together; we finally took that big step and said ‘I do’. Our life before and after marriage was full, absolutely full, of adventure, love, laughter and tears, but the one thing that never changed. We were each others best friend. There was nobody I would rather hang out with than Max. And he made sure I knew that there was nobody he’d rather be with than me. We worked well together. From Doxa Pizza to Max’s Western Wear and Pony Espresso, to building a house together. No, more then that. We loved being together and doing whatever it was – as long as we were together. We could talk about anything or we could sit in silence; either way; I fell in love with Max all over again, […]

Me Voy!
We Walk by Faith NOT by Sight …. 2Cor 5:7 July 5th already. Wow, yikes, exciting, oh dear, awesome, amazing, nervous, anticipating, butterflies, bitter sweet, laughter, love, joy – so many words to describe the range of emotions that I have experienced this past month. If anybody finds a week or so randomly laying about, please send it over. I think I misplaced it somewhere. What a wonderful last month in Canada and in the USA. I have had the wonderful blessing of spending so much time with friends and family. My ‘to do’ list was fairly small this month compared to previous (I guess that’s what happens when you tackle the big list with vengeance to get it all done). I have hiked around Nelson, Vancouver, the Capilano Suspension Bridge; kayaked on the lake; rode the KLR several times. I was able to have so many meals and coffees with friends and family and say ciao – it’s only two years and it’ll go quick. I’ve been enjoying the different flavours of spice and even managed to get in some delicious sushi feeds. One more of those and then I should be good for a couple of years. There has been a lot of tears. Bittersweet tears of sadness of what was supposed to be in our minds, and joyful […]
