Photos from June
Here’s a bit of June for you. I pray that you will come and experience the people, the culture, the food, the worship, everything. As I enter my second year of serving our Lord, here in Argentina, it already looks to be a busier year. Full of biblical studies as I embark on my Consecrated Missionary Credentialing and the certificate in Intercultural Ministry, travel all over Argentina as I serve many of the churches here and become even more involved and travel around South America for CIPE Asemblea, courses, Latin America Missionary Retreat, supporting and encouraging other churches and Pastors in Uraquay and Chile, and hopefully some times of rest and relaxing. I pray for continued friendships and relationships here, always more Spanish, to grow deeper in knowledge and wisdom in Christ, to be a blessing to others. I also pray for strength, peace and hope as I accept this next stage of the race. A race that I now run alone, without Max, but with Christ and all of you. Solar Panel and System in Rio Chico Abajo Monday’s study group. After every meeting, every study, every prayer time, we break bread together. We are not just brothers and sisters in Christ, we are family. And I am so thankful to be included in this family. Mountains covered […]

The excitement of the next big step! Deep breathes!!
‘In their hearts, humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps’ Proverbs 16:9 ‘Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.’ Joshua 1:9 Friends – I have exciting news to share. I now have a flight booked to Argentina! The first week of July is when I leave Canada! To click ‘complete booking’ was a moment full of eager excitement – God is moving forward and I am continuing in His will; anticipation – I know a bit of what it will look like there, but what will serving and living in Argentina really be like, what is already in place for this Kingdom work; and ok, maybe a bit of giddiness – I think I was grinning ear to ear; and at the same time also a moment of fear – God, are you sure?; hesitation – is this really happening? I’m not running ahead am I?, sadness – I’m only booking one ticket and this is another reminder of this new life. I am calmed by the assurance that I am not alone. My path is being directed, He is with me, before me and has gone ahead. You are all with me, walking this […]

Life with Max was never a dull moment.. Missing the zaniness…..
Death Will Not have the final say – The last enemy to be destroyed is Death… 1Cor 15:26 I can hardly believe it’s been a year already since you went home to be with the Lord. 365 days ago we had just finished talking about Argentina and being new Canadian Missionaries with so many new friends in various Churches across Western Canada. Our last summer together was spent camping and being spontaneous and tourists in our own country. Our last year together was just that – together – in so many ways – serving in ministry in Ecuador, Nicaragua and Argentina, METE, preparing for a whole new life together as missionaries in another country, culture and language. We started that last day with coffees overlooking the lake in Dundurn, SK. What a peaceful morning. What a fun drive back to the Kootenays. The sillyness and zaniness along the way, stopping at the Big Green truck finally. We talked about growing old together in Patagonia, we laughed about ‘the honeymoon NEVER ends, no matter how old we get’. Oh how I miss you. There isn’t a word that completely captures this. There are so many memories everywhere, and while there are no more new memories to be made together; there are. Because I see you in so many ways. You have […]
