Bethel, Alaska
Bethel, Alaska is located about 4 hours north of Anchorage. It is a hub town located on the frozen tundra. We partner with Bethel Covenant Church who has a thriving relational ministry to their community. The community takes pride in hospitality and taking care of each other. The prices are outrageous for groceries and pretty much anything else…but the warmth of the people by far make up for the budget! A team from Michigan came up and did some work projects with the church, sang at a local nursing home, brought hand made items for a local maternity center, and fellowshipped with the youth. The church hosted an after Prom party which was well attended and a blast. If you are interested in “roughing it” they would love teams to come help build a camp in 2016.
