A bit of the first quarter of 2025

Prov 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart;
do not depend on your own understanding.
6 Seek his will in all you do,
and he will show you which path to take.
Have you ever started one day and then in a blink of an eye a week has passed by?  Maybe you accomplished so much more than was on your list or maybe you’re still on the first morning list of tasks.  That’s ok.  Because God will step on the accelerator when He wants and needs to.  The most important is being surrendered in His will and completely trusting the process, timing, and work.  And here we are….. April 17th!!!

This year has started off with a radical velocity.  An end to summer that included family camps, my own camping and retreat time, and planning for this year.  I was honored to be the family member present in a graduation (the Aunt), and to see Isabelina and Daniel tie the knot finally.

Courses have all restarted and we are excited for the first graduates of Centro de Capacitacion (CHET pre ministry course) at the end of this year.  The ladies group has grown in numbers, service, and understanding of the word.  The preteens and youth are also in full force with activities and studies.

I had the privilege to host pastors and their families for their vacations (which of course still included ministry for them), different youth from within Argentina and from the USA who are seeking discernment for their call into the mission field, as well as  two couples from the USA.  One group left and another arrived.  God also used this timing to allow for the house and pets to be looked after while I traveled.

February and March were the busiest of travel.  The Latin America Missionary Retreat in Colombia was a time of rest, recharging and rediscovering and putting importance on finding the joy in it all.  Ministry life and personal life; which many times is one and the same.  From the plane into the car for a nine hour drive with Pastors for the AGM – Asamblea.  The Asamblea was a time of intense but necessary conversations, changes in IPEA with a new leadership board, as well as changes in processes and committees. I continue to serve on the board of Centro de Capacitacion as well as am part of the Commission of National Events.  This will be a year for us of planning the next national youth event, the 20th Anniversary of IPEA and the graduation ceremony.

God has been bringing up new leaders in all of the churches, including many young adults.  There are times when I just watch from the sideline at how God has transformed many; how opportunities have arisen and how the action and response has been.

2025 will include continued teaching of CdC, various studies and English.  Working together for the organizing of various events and I even have the wonderful task of hosting, traveling and translating for Pastor Juan and Pastora Ivonne who have been invited to Gather!  I look forward to connecting with some of you during and after the event.  I plan to do some ministry assingment for a few weeks.  There of course is travel to the North and possibly over to Chile. I am excited and encouraged to work together with Merge for teams and am so encouraged to hear about the possibility of Canadian teams!  This year I have also incorporated weekly times of rest and personal time with God.  When WhatsApp says that I’m in the mountains with God here is a picture of what it might look like. I am guarding this time and putting priority. There are always demands and ministry but it is also necessary to continue in my own personal growth and selfcare.

This Holy Week is so very different for me.  Normally we are at the Assamblea and traveling.  This year we actually get to celebrate and honor the crucifixion and resurrection.  Friday will be a hike and time alone. This has already been a huge week of reflecting on Jesus’s last days and his prayer in the garden.  Papa, if this cup could pass by… please…. but if not… I only want your will accomplished.   And Jesus went through this week with this weight all while serving and loving on others.  I am overwhelmed with gratitude, gratefulness, faith, hope and joy.  I would never have chosen this life but when you fully surrender and then put one foot in front of the other; God puts His plan and timing in place.  And He uses you as His instrument.  His Kingdom is worth it all.  If I needed to pass through this in order for His will to be done; not just in my life but in the live’s of others, then I will always say Yes Lord.  One huge confirmation of His work here is being invited to teach BLESS; but not as evangelism; as how it’s lived out in life and how it has been seen as Christ’s hands and feet. I can’t explain exactly what drives and motivates me but I know a huge part of it is just allowing God to do His work and being His hands and feet.  There is purpose to it all.

Thank you all gor your prayers and support. This participation in God’s kingdom allows His work to continue and the extras as well that I can serve, even in the middle of the economic crisis. God Bless you all.

Please prayerfully consider to financially support God’s work here in Argentina.  Thank you to those of you who already do.
