Today we took a quick trip up to Cayambe, a little over an hour away, to visit our fellow missionaries’ project, “The Santiago Partnership”. Joel and Kim Delp are working in partnership with local believers to develop a care center and medical clinic for underprivileged children. The team has worked hard this week, tying rebar and hauling cement blocks and finally today the construction workers were able to pour the cement roof for the center!

Here Kim (in scrubs) is giving a tour of the medical clinic, explaining how they really would love to have a dentist on site to help children who visit the clinic.

This is where local children can come for check ups and basic medical care.

Last year around this time this same short term mission team came to Ecuador and this lovely lady (Dixie) and I struck up an instant friendship. It was so fun to see her again and reconnect!

This delicious soup was the starter to a roast pig and hominy meal served by the local church.

It’s a beautiful day in the neighborhood!
