On my trip to Ethiopia last spring, I made a stop in Kenya to visit with friends and wait for my plane connections. While there I joined them on a trip to a game park with a difference. In this park you do not ride in vans stalking the animals- here you walk amongst them, being careful where you go and where you step!

At first we only saw the stationary parts of the landscape...
Then they appeared from behind a tree or two.
Trying to get closer with a rear approach.
What a view!
This one has his eye on us!
But we found this poor one that reached a bad end.
And these decided that it was time to leave us behid.
It was a great day walking in the presence of these incredible creatures.
