Niagara Falls and God’s unspeakable waterfall of Love

The 360° Tour

When I visited Niagara Falls for the first time eighteen years ago, I never imagined that I would later bring my whole family back to Canada. I even though I would never get back to Canada. You might ask me, “Why?”

Well, I came from a middle class home and at the time, saved every penny I had, asking my father for permission to have an overseas experience to study English, so I knew it would be almost impossible to make that huge effort to get overseas again.

Life is interesting.

I not only went back to Canada in 2004 and 2005, but then life took me to Spain to work and get my masters degree in Marketing. After six intense European years, you may know that I met Johnna in Belgium and then ironically, found myself back in North America (both the U.S. and Canada).

As you may know, Niagara Falls is located on the border between Canada and the U.S. There are three enormous and beautiful waterfalls between Ontario and New York with a vertical drop of more than 165 ft (50 m). It is an extraordinary experience to take the boat (Maid of the Mist) and get soaked as you get very close to this divine and unspeakable natural “shower”.

In fact, the more I experience life, the more I see life as a tapestry where we do not understand many things at the present moment, but in the future, we look back at our past and realize how God, the master upholsterer (master artist), brings sense to everything at the end.

I never thought I would come back to Canada with my family…

We look back at the tapestry and we get confused because there are so many knots and illogical turns, but without realizing or expecting it, the Creator is sewing a beautiful, singular and unrepeatable artwork.

With that in mind, I come to a conclusion that my life is a tapestry. Your life is a tapestry. Our life is built, made and sewn by the Hands of the One who takes care of us with His extravagant and unconditional waterfall of love.
