Ndonges attack our garage and storeroom

Ndonges are a small, wood eating termite that ravage wooden structures in our area.  Congolese repeatedly tell of how the ndonges destroyed this or that.  For the traditional mud and thatch houses, they will eat out the supporting sticks as they make their way to the grass roof where they feast on the thatch.

For the repair, we will replace the pieces that have been eaten away so they are weak.  Then after knocking off all the traces of them, we’ll paint the boards with used oil.  I also have some old insecticide that I will put on the bottom part of each board.
