Wow, we finally saw firsthand what our friends go through when they go pick up their refugee allotments of beans, flour, and oil. The UNHCR is still giving aid in Cameroon, 4 years out from the mass evacuation from CAR because of the war. Our friends often spend 2 days, standing in the hot sun, waiting for their name to be called. The young, the strong, and the pushy get their papers handed in first and therefore get their names called first and get bigger shares of everything. We understand that the quantities of supplies are diminishing and that they are being warned that the aid will end in the near future. Pray that these displaced peoples can grow gardens and develop some kind of earning a living. Pray that they will dream dreams of the Messiah, that they will be blessed by his love.
