Mothers and daughters

blog-mother-daughter

Sometimes moms and their daughters look alike, and sometimes you wouldn’t guess that they’re related.  I often find myself grinning, thinking about how God justmixes and matches up our genes and comes up with each individual.  And we are that, aren’t we!?  Individuals, even though we come from the same bloodline and live in the same environment, living in the same culture with the same rules, but we can be so very different in looks and personalities.   It was fun to see our friends Asta and daughter Daniyel together for their feast of the lamb holiday.  They do live in the same town, but on opposite ends so I don’t think they see each  other as often as they’d like. blog-faadi-at-home other as often as they’d like.

We also got to see Faadi, the one who recently lost her baby.  She is happy to be back with her two young daughters – this one’s being shy.

About danforth

As Covenant missionaries, we are working with all the tribal groups of the Central African Republic (CAR) but are trying to give special attention to the Fulani, a Musxlim, cattle herding, and semi-nomadic people group. We live on an experimental/training farm, near a mission station which has a hospital plus bible and nursing schools. We are establishing relationships with the local people groups through compassion ministries; Roy through agriculture and Aleta through public health and visitation, in order, ultimately, to share the good news of Jesus the Messiah with them. CAR is one of the least developed countries in the world and is currently in continual crisis (since the coup in March 2013), so reaching out in compassion is key to reaching their hearts. Due to the ongoing conflict and resultant ethnic cleansing in CAR, we are crossing the border to interact with our Fulani contacts.
