Please pray for more

As I consider the future, and think about our dear colleague, Pastor B, I realize what a great need there is for others to come alongside us in reaching out to our Fulani friends.  Pastor B is recently widowed and life is not easy for him, eking out a living, not having a congregation of believers to encourage nor a pastor’s salary because he chose to follow God’s call on his heart.  He chooses to live among the people he loves to serve, because he wants so badly for them to understand the deep love of the Messiah.  We have been working alongside him for many years and have been impressed and blessed with his friendships and interactions with the Fulani.  Our colleagues, Jan & Kim Cone, and we are approaching retirement and we are praying for Central Africans’ hearts to be stirred to help.  Would you pray with us for others to step out of their comfort zones, to share God’s love with these wandering and lost friends? “The harvest is plenty but the workers are few.  So pray to the Lord of the harvest!” Mt 9:37-38

About danforth

As Covenant missionaries, we are working with all the tribal groups of the Central African Republic (CAR) but are trying to give special attention to the Fulani, a Musxlim, cattle herding, and semi-nomadic people group. We live on an experimental/training farm, near a mission station which has a hospital plus bible and nursing schools. We are establishing relationships with the local people groups through compassion ministries; Roy through agriculture and Aleta through public health and visitation, in order, ultimately, to share the good news of Jesus the Messiah with them. CAR is one of the least developed countries in the world and is currently in continual crisis (since the coup in March 2013), so reaching out in compassion is key to reaching their hearts. Due to the ongoing conflict and resultant ethnic cleansing in CAR, we are crossing the border to interact with our Fulani contacts.
