We were on our way home from Grand Rapids, Michigan, and were treated to a magnificent sunset – these 3 snapshots were taken from the car window as we tootled along the freeway within a span of 20 minutes max. Sorry for the blur, but it was a lovely evening. Our friend, Benny Turk, when he was about 3 or 4, was walking along the path with me one evening in Gamboula, and he looked up at the pink and lavender and orange of the sky. He asked me what color up there I liked best, and then proceeded to explain that God painted it up there just for me. YES! Benny is now at Letourneau University in Texas, and he continues to be a very sweet and quite brilliant young man. I will never forget his words of 15 years ago. Let’s remember to look up and realize what God has done, is doing, and will do! He loves us so.
