Sweet friends and a missions fair

What a whirlwind it is when we visit California!  We get dental work done at a dear friend’s office, we get to hang out with family and friends, AND we schedule church visits for every Sunday in the months we are there (May, September, January, and May).  Last Sunday happened to be Peninsula Covenant in Redwood City, and we took part in their missions fair, going to Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria and the ends of the earth!  Can you guess where we were?  Yep, ends of the earth!blog Peninsula fair blog Peninsula fair2 blog Peninsula fair3

We stayed with Ken & Adrienne Satterberg, and enjoyed playing games, eating Pho, and just being with them.blog KenAdrienne

And of course, fruit somehow worked its way into the picture.  Here are some pineapple guavas Ken had found on a prolific tree just behind their home.  Tasty!blog KA guavas

About danforth

As Covenant missionaries, we are working with all the tribal groups of the Central African Republic (CAR) but are trying to give special attention to the Fulani, a Musxlim, cattle herding, and semi-nomadic people group. We live on an experimental/training farm, near a mission station which has a hospital plus bible and nursing schools. We are establishing relationships with the local people groups through compassion ministries; Roy through agriculture and Aleta through public health and visitation, in order, ultimately, to share the good news of Jesus the Messiah with them. CAR is one of the least developed countries in the world and is currently in continual crisis (since the coup in March 2013), so reaching out in compassion is key to reaching their hearts. Due to the ongoing conflict and resultant ethnic cleansing in CAR, we are crossing the border to interact with our Fulani contacts.
