Aleta’s arm

Many of you have asked about how my arm is healing.  We are thankful for good orthopedic care here in Samfam’s town.  I have had good progress with swelling going down and increased mobility.  I have just a brace/splint that I can take on and off, which is an incredible improvement over stiff and permanent casting.  I do miss all the signatures and drawings on my old casts, though.  I had 3 strangers’ signatures, just random shopkeepers and one passerby on the street, besides all the great pictures and love messages from family and friends.  Pretty fun!  My final appointment is Dec. 10th, and we will be heading back to Cameroon on Dec. 19th.  Our plans after that are up in the air, so please pray for complete healing for my arm and for wisdom in decision making about what to do next.blog brace

About danforth

As Covenant missionaries, we are working with all the tribal groups of the Central African Republic (CAR) but are trying to give special attention to the Fulani, a Musxlim, cattle herding, and semi-nomadic people group. We live on an experimental/training farm, near a mission station which has a hospital plus bible and nursing schools. We are establishing relationships with the local people groups through compassion ministries; Roy through agriculture and Aleta through public health and visitation, in order, ultimately, to share the good news of Jesus the Messiah with them. CAR is one of the least developed countries in the world and is currently in continual crisis (since the coup in March 2013), so reaching out in compassion is key to reaching their hearts. Due to the ongoing conflict and resultant ethnic cleansing in CAR, we are crossing the border to interact with our Fulani contacts.
