So long to our buddies, the Turks

Luke, Timothe, Benny, Leanne, Bobby

Our good friends, the Turks, are now officially moved back to Yaounde for this next year.  It ended up that they were needed to fill the position of dorm parents for the school year 2014-2015.  We will sorely miss them here at Gamboula.  We’ll miss their smiles and their presence over the coming months.  We will carry them around in our hearts, and most likely will be on the phone and on email with them, for advice and prayer and hopefully a laugh or two! Benny will be heading off to college in August.  Please pray for him as he enters into the new world of being on his own in the U.S.  Please pray for Luke & Leanne as they take care of the high school-aged children while they attend high school, enabling their missionary parents to carry on with sharing the love of the Messiah in their various ministries.

About danforth

As Covenant missionaries, we are working with all the tribal groups of the Central African Republic (CAR) but are trying to give special attention to the Fulani, a Musxlim, cattle herding, and semi-nomadic people group. We live on an experimental/training farm, near a mission station which has a hospital plus bible and nursing schools. We are establishing relationships with the local people groups through compassion ministries; Roy through agriculture and Aleta through public health and visitation, in order, ultimately, to share the good news of Jesus the Messiah with them. CAR is one of the least developed countries in the world and is currently in continual crisis (since the coup in March 2013), so reaching out in compassion is key to reaching their hearts. Due to the ongoing conflict and resultant ethnic cleansing in CAR, we are crossing the border to interact with our Fulani contacts.
