We are now well into day 8 of 13 of life sans Chris. He took off last week to head to the Dominican Republic for a bit to serve on staff for a trip facilitated by Merge Ministries, the organization that we worked with when we lived in Ecuador from 2009 to 2011. We served as trip facilitators in Ecuador, organizing and overseeing partnership trips between churches from the US and Canada and the ministries of the Ecuadorian Covenant Church.
Our experience working for Merge was a great one. It taught us a ton and stretched us in many ways. Gave us opportunities to use our gifts and learn how to work well in ministry together. If you or your church is looking for a way to partner around the globe (including partnerships within the USA), you should check Merge out. The staff is A.M.A.Z.I.N.G (and I don’t just say that because we were on staff) and they really strive to wrestle through what it means to have meaningful, healthy partnerships between faith communities.
Merge will always have a special place in our heart and we are looking forward to working with them to facilitate teams interested in coming down from our supporting churches! And let us know if you have any questions we can help out with.
And just 5 more days until dad comes back home…
