Celebrating a year of learning

That is a wrap! 2021 is officially over and so is another year of biblical and theological learning for 172 people who completed a certificate course. As we mentioned in earlier posts, Julio was able to travel to different cities and towns throughout Colombia and personally hand out the certificates.

He ended up traveling to 12 different places during10 days to celebrate with the students. He traveled by plane, bus, car, and motorcycle to some of the bigger cities like Barranquilla and Monteria and smaller rural communities like Sabanalarga and Galeras. Most of his time was spent in the states of Sucre and Cordoba, where the majority of students came from and where there is very little access to theological education. Testimonies were shared among students about the value of the education they received and how they never thought it would be possible to receive this level of biblical training. What a gift to be able to celebrate in person with the students, who have put such commitment into their studies this past year. Another highlight was that Julio was able to deliver the certificates to those students who completed the certificate in children’s ministry, as well.
