In Colombia we celebrate the equivalent of Valentine’s day in September. There is one special day, but typically the whole month is dedicated to showering the ones you love with candy and gifts. With our small group we decided to exchange names and play “amigo secreto” during the month. On Saturday night we had a lovely meal together, exchanged homemade gifts, shared in the Lord’s Supper, and enjoyed a plethora of desserts. It was truly a celebration of friendship. We thank God for these people who have become like family.
