While Julio and I were at the Covenant’s “Church Planters Assessment” in April we had the opportunity to meet some great people who have the same vision for planting churches in a variety of different contexts. One couple we met lives right here in Illinois! We are so excited for their ministry and their vision to plant a multi-ethnic church not far from Chicago. On Sunday I, Katie, was able to attend one of their launch team meetings. It was so great to hear more about their vision and values and how they are moving forward in mission. I loved meeting the people who are on the launch team and felt very welcomed by them. I was so encouraged to hear Pastor Andreton say that their church, City of Hope, wants to partner with us as we minister in Colombia. This church is just starting out, but already they are incorporating mission and outreach into their DNA. We’re very grateful for Andreton and Dawn’s support and look forward to the ways that we will be able to encourage and support one another.
