Traveling- it’s what we do!
Two weekends ago we (along with the Pastoral Council) flew down to Guayaquil (located on the Southern Coast of Ecuador, about 45 min flight).
Friday: We met with 2 different schools that are associated with the Evangelical Covenant Church. This, lady on the left below I believe is the Principal of one of schools. They explained their jobs/ ministries and we took time to encourage and pray over them.
The man in the dark green shirt is Pastor Virgilio. He is the Pastor of the thriving “La Amistad” church and years ago was the President of the Ecuadorian Evangelical Church. It was an honor to spend time with him and pray for him.
Saturday the Pastors and leaders of the churches in the Southern Coast district met for a time of encouragement, fellowship and direction. It was awesome to meet with the leaders and hear their stories of creative outreach in their communities. It was a privilege to be able to come along side and offer support and encouragement to them!
Sunday: All members of the Pastoral Council that had attended the meetings the previous day spread out and preached at various churches in the area. Josh preached Sunday morning.
Then he also preached Sunday evening.
It was so inspiring to hear how God is working in the lives of the believers on the coast. Thanks for your prayers, that they would grow closer and closer to God and that lives would be touched and changed through their testimonies!
