Abundantly Blessed in the midst of joy and tears.

These last two months have been filled with blessings, frustrations, joy and sorrow.  In other words – they have been filled with life.

Our family together for Christmas – one of our great joys of this season.

Today finds me sitting on a bed a bedroom of dear friends in the Chicago area.  The world outside is cold with occasional snow flurries.  Tomorrow I fly to California where there are winds a warnings of fire danger.  Even in this, my life is made up of contrasts.

Last week was the Midwinter conference of the Evangelical Covenant Church through whom we serve as missionaries in Cameroon.  Those days were precious as we renewed friendships, made new ones, worshiped and fellow-shipped together with others in our denomination.

Former pastor and wife of our sending church. What joy to see so many we have known.

I am thankful that the colds/flu did not hit us until it was over so we could enjoy the time. Now it is time to start with renewed vigor to use well the remaining days of this home assignment.  We are eager to make connections and offer opportunities for you to partner with us in ministry.  We hope to return to Cameroon in July, but before that we need to engage with new partners.  If you are interested in exploring partnership with us please contact me at carolyn.stoker@covchurch.org and we can talk.

Look for a newsletter early in February with more details.

Sorry you got sick at all. Jim is completely crashed–slept about 20 hours yesterday. I achieved my goal of NOT getting sick this year. (Gotta love tiny, achievable goals).
