Enter the teachers – next come the students

Teacher orientation is almost finished.  It is a time of lots of meetings as new people get oriented, others learn new jobs and we learn to work as a team.  At Rain Forest International School (RFIS) we have a lot of turnover each year and that means it takes time to become a working team.  One of the ways we do this is to spend time sharing our dreams for the year, worshiping together and working on a variety of projects.   A few practical jokes amongst those returning help to lighten the mood.

Eating together always builds community

Mr. Chilton's desk migrated this summer - right by the entry door and in front of the men's bathroom! Practical jokes are part of community life.

A highlight of each year is our staff retreat and this year was no exception thanks to Dave Hammrick and all our worship leaders.

We spent time at the staff retreat alone thinking through the material and sharing with other members of the full school staff.

Our Cameroonian worship time was led by Ceci and Susie - affectionately known as SuCe.

Hopefully this video clip (first try at one of these) will give you the flavor of our joyful time together.
