Last Sunday, May 26th, which was supposed to be Mother’s Day here, our little church family out at the farm decided that we would have a meal together. We had a guest speaker, Pastor M, who often does CEFA farm’s devos in the morning when Roy doesn’t. The guest speaker was reason enough, but it being Mother’s Day added to it, so we prepared a nice meal of manioc/gozo with a sauce of meat and greens. Oh I do love gozo!
It turns out that they have postponed Mother’s Day ‘til June 8th or so. Curious, but they postpone holidays often, even their Independence Day can often be postponed a week or two, most often to accommodate some bigwig’s travel plans. We had our meal together, amidst happy chatter and the good old-fashioned joy of being with friends.
