Happy 14th birthday, Genesis Care Centre

What a blessing to be able to work at the Genesis Care Centre , helping out in the nursing director’s office with whatever lightens their load of work.  I also love going in to the wards and just visiting with the patients, giving them a chance to talk out their troubles, praying with them and encouraging them.  D is struggling with a too long hospital stay for a poorly repaired leg, M is recovering well but is waiting for placement in a group home, D is longing for her family to visit, M,P, and L are trying to get better but are HIV positive in late stages – the list goes on.  This little hospital is a shining star for these sick ones, providing basic, loving nursing care which they never could afford otherwise.  They are prayed over and hear scripture and lovely songs regularly.  God bless Genesis Care Centre, celebrating 14 years on March 1st!!

About danforth

As Covenant missionaries, we are working with all the tribal groups of the Central African Republic (CAR) but are trying to give special attention to the Fulani, a Musxlim, cattle herding, and semi-nomadic people group. We live on an experimental/training farm, near a mission station which has a hospital plus bible and nursing schools. We are establishing relationships with the local people groups through compassion ministries; Roy through agriculture and Aleta through public health and visitation, in order, ultimately, to share the good news of Jesus the Messiah with them. CAR is one of the least developed countries in the world and is currently in continual crisis (since the coup in March 2013), so reaching out in compassion is key to reaching their hearts. Due to the ongoing conflict and resultant ethnic cleansing in CAR, we are crossing the border to interact with our Fulani contacts.
