We were so excited to be able to see this precious couple make their vows, on April 4th, to spend their lives together. Timothy was such a great help and good friend and next door neighbor out at the CEFA farm 2013-2014. We went through all kinds of challenges together, including lightning strikes and evacuations… Jessica is a bubbly, sweet friend we met in Yaounde a couple of years ago. We treasure their friendship and pray that their marriage and future are blessed and joy filled!
One of the perks of having driven down to Springfield, MO, for the wedding was to get to spend some time with our buddies, the Turks!
An MK, (missionary kid), Elaine Smythe, from Zaire/Congo who is close friends with Jessica’s family, was kind enough, along with her husband, Gary, to host our motley crew.
We had great fun catching up with these friends, and swapping stories with our hosts as well. One of the games we played – when we’re with the Turks, we always have to have an emergency fun night!!! – was a jellybelly game. If you get a chance, DON’T play it! You might have to eat a black jellybelly, tasting either like licorice or skunk!!! For me, either one is bad!
Anyway, well fed with all kinds of treats from Elaine, and very well filled with friend-connection-joy, we headed back to Plymouth on April 5th.
