Nadege, our amazing CEFA ag/nutrition lady, and I just had nice visits with a few Fulani friends in the town across the river. Ramadan just ended, and we missed the big celebration day, but nonetheless my buddies treated us to some celebratory food and hot, sugary tea. We gave out candies for “barka de salaa”/blessing of peace to many kids and even to the soldiers and police at the road barriers.
This is the 5 year old granddaughter of a close friend, her name is A’isaatu, like her grandmother who has raised her. Her mother passed away when A’isaatu was a baby, having suffered from TB and complications for an extended time. These dear ones don’t follow the Messiah. Please pray for dreams and visions for them, pray that they will understand what God has done for each of us. Pray that as we hang out together, the love we share and the words we speak will sink in, deeply.
