CEFA board meeting went well!

Baba Zokoe, president of the CEFA board and ex cabinet member of C.A.R., arrived safely from the capital after a 14 hour rough road trip.  He was the only member out of 6 present who had to travel more than 2 miles for the meeting.  The opener for Friday’s meeting was a tour of the CEFA grounds.  Here are Paul & Baba Zokoe, checking out the fish pond project.

They visited the gardens and here are two board members happily toting disease resistant manioc sticks to cut up and plant in their own gardens!

There were some good discussions and even a heavy topic or two, but we are thankful that God granted a sense of his peace throughout. All items on the agenda were discussed and Baba Zokoe headed back to his home early early Saturday morning.  He sure was a good sport about the quick turn around! Here are 5 of the 6 members, in our living room during the meeting.  Roy is the 6th, behind the camera.   Thanks for your prayers for the future of CEFA!

About danforth

As Covenant missionaries, we are working with all the tribal groups of the Central African Republic (CAR) but are trying to give special attention to the Fulani, a Musxlim, cattle herding, and semi-nomadic people group. We live on an experimental/training farm, near a mission station which has a hospital plus bible and nursing schools. We are establishing relationships with the local people groups through compassion ministries; Roy through agriculture and Aleta through public health and visitation, in order, ultimately, to share the good news of Jesus the Messiah with them. CAR is one of the least developed countries in the world and is currently in continual crisis (since the coup in March 2013), so reaching out in compassion is key to reaching their hearts. Due to the ongoing conflict and resultant ethnic cleansing in CAR, we are crossing the border to interact with our Fulani contacts.
