We recently had 4 young people come to help and learn at our mission hospital. The two guys, Josh and Matt, are med students from Canada, and the couple(recently engaged) are Marshal and Hannah, a pre-med student and nursing student. It was good to have them around, they all fit in so well and did their best to not show shock and repulsion at the myriad nasty smells and sights you run into at a bush hospital. They added a rich cross cultural experience and lots of laughter to many lives here at Gamboula. I called them the “kids” from the get go, as they are all actually younger than our own, not quite young enough to call them grandkids! We were so glad to have had them with us for a little bit.
